This section covers Map based browsing. This section deals with the GIS interface that you can browse through for viewing different types of sites within surface water basins of india and selecting the flood forecast information that you require by clicking your mouse at appropriate locations.
To select Map Based option present in the Centre screen of the Home page, click the Map Based option Button.
After the user clicks the Map based option the following screen appears as shown in the figure 1.

Select a particular Basin from the base map by clicking on the particular basin.After the click the particular basin is selected from the base map.users will be able to view the whole basin with river network and all flood forecast sites of that particular basin.The screen appears as shown in figure 2

A click on the particular flood forecast site (Level Forecasting site) will show the flood forecasted date, time, flood level and trend. Along with this user can view static and semistatic information available on that site as shown in figure 3. The level forecast site would show static information such as Basin, Division, river and district. Users can also view such as WL, DL, HFL and HFL attained date. Along with this all users will view the present water level and rainfall. Flood situation such as Unprecedented Flood situation will appear in light red colour. High Flood situation will appear in yellow colour. Moderate flood situation will appear in light blue colour. Low flood situation will appear in white colour.
